IT'S NOT HEARTBURN

Antacids don’t help
And it just grows and grows
When fine things stack to high
Shatters and crumbles

One would think the noise would cause alarm
And search for bleeding or a break
But the shattering continues
Down the slippery slope

Why do things get so tall?
Should fine things break so easy?
The shattering is ignored…
Ears are stopped by habit

  1. Nifty but you just make me realize I'm too literal linear to really appreciate poetry. Is it a metaphor or were you sitting quietly in your room with a tummy ache when the kitchen exploded. For instance were things "to high" as in reaching a place referred to as High or were they "to(o) high as in dangerouslt tall. Now I won't be able to sleep tonight thank you very much. ;)
